ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This original production page from “A Matter of Time” was created by Juan Gimenez for its subsequent publication. First released in Spanish as “Cuestión de Tiempo” by Toutain Editor in 1982, it was later published in English by Catalan Communications in 1985.

“A Matter of Time”,  where this page was showcased as page number 2, was both written and illustrated by Juan Gimenez, marking one of his earliest works entirely created by him. Specifically, it is a compilation of short stories centered around a common theme: time travel. Among these stories are DIY, to which this page belongs, as well as Tridisex, Express, Entropy, 8 1/2, Chronology, and Residue.

In “DIY,” an individual who has purchased a homemade time travel kit discovers that the only way to jump through time is by experiencing mental stress, but this only leads him into one life-threatening situation after another.
