Almost Mickey

Born in Venezuela, ia Llamozas has been living in Spain, since 2008. This paper enthusiast has been exploring collage for as long as she can remember. In words of the artist: “I love its (paper) creative possibilities as well as prolonging paper’s life cycle by transforming it into art”. In the last 5 years she has participated in individual and collective exhibitions in Barcelona. The artist is inspired by pop-art artists, nourished by icons and popular culture themes, and influenced by Venezuelan kinetic artists such as Jesus Soto and Carlos Cruz-Diez that makes her work with geometry in search for movement.
