This original drawing has been created by Chilean cartoonist Victor José Arriagada Ríos alias Vicar.
Vicar, born in Santiago de Chile (1934-2012), was a Chilean strip cartoonist. He began his career in illustration in his local newspapers, drawing satirical political cartoons, with his first emblematic characters. He moved to Spain for a few years in 1960, participated in the animated film The Magician of Dreams. In 1966 he entered the field of comics, working for Bardon Art and Selecciones Ilustradas. He was offered him to draw Donald Duck for the Scandinavian market, and thanks to this, Vicar’s successful career as a Disney comic artist took off. Carl Barks, creator of the character for Disney himself, would say of him that he drew it better than himself. He founded the Vic-Art studio.
These artworks come from Vicar’s private collection and has been specially selected to be distributed by Corner4art. This unique piece is hand signed by the author and includes the Certificate of Authenticity.
