This exceptional artwork is a tribute to the great American fantasy and science fiction artist, Franz Frazetta, who has become a great source of inspiration for all comic artists.
Without losing his signature realistic style, Tempesta makes a reinterpretation of Frazetta’ss original 1973 artwork, depicting Death Dealer as never seen before, riding a Styracosaurus on a fiery battlefield and surrounded by pterosaurs flying above him.
It depicts, in oil on canvas technique, in the foreground Death Dealer dressed in warrior armor and wearing a horned helmet on a dinosaur, holding a shield and a bloody axe.
In the background, a mixture of warm colors on the right side of the composition subtly blends with cooler colors on the left side of the painting. It is worth noting the mastery of the artist’s technique, who has managed to represent with incredible precision every detail of the artwork.
