Mariano Pérez Clemente, “MAREN”, is a painter, illustrator and musician born in Barcelona in 1946. Brother of the renowned illustrator Sanjulian. He studied at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, then worked as a self-taught guitarist and studio musician for many bands for three decades, until he decided to retire from music and make use of his skills as a draftsman and designer. Early in his career as a painter he entered the world of illustration, since then he’s collaborated with the most prestigious international publishers. For some years now, he has been creating his own art, often mystical-themed or set in the Old West, capturing his concerns, feelings, thoughts and experiences with oil paints on canvas.
This original creation comes directly from the Maren’s personal collection.
