This outstanding painting portrays Victor Frankenstein coming back to life with translucent yellowish skin, glowing eyes, flowing black hair, and dark lips. This exceptional painting depicts the iconic fictional monster of Mary Shelley’s novel (1818) and has been created by fantasy master Manuel San Julian.
The great Spanish master Sanjulian started his outstanding career in illustration in 1970 drawing with Frazetta for Warren Publishing. His Vampirella and Conan magazine covers, and some legendary comic book covers gained him recognition at an international level. George Lucas himself owns many Sanjulian original artworks, but also many other celebrities such as Silvester Stallone, Danny DeVito and Mel Gibson. He’s a prolific and most gifted multi-award-winning artist, with an instantly recognizable illustration style that brings together a realist approach and the fantasy genre. His work is often exhibited in The Society of Illustrators in New York.
This original creation comes directly from the Sanjulian’s personal collection.
This unique work is hand signed by the artist himself, and includes its Certificate of Authenticity.
