Starwatcher is one of Moebius’ iconic creations that has gripped the imagination of comic book readers. It is a magnificent, illustrated novel that collects the artwork done by Moebius made in the 80’s, published by a French publisher “Éditions Aedena”. Now, Martin Rodriguez, who has always admired the world of comics since his childhood, recovers with this painting one of the great artworks of this artbook by Moebius, reproducing one of his characters in a large format with the technique of oil on canvas. With a wide palette of colors, his painting, inspired by a vignette aesthetic, is the result of a laborious work and a meticulous brushstroke, where drawing, color and the study of composition play a preponderant role.
