Batman, is a comic book character created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger for DC Comics in the 90’s. He debuted in March 1939, in the story titled “The Case of the Chemical Syndicate” in “Detective Comics No. 27”. Under a secret identity, philanthropist and industrialist by day and superhero by night, he fights crime in the city of Gotham through his intellect, his physical preparation and with his combat gadgets of the Batman’s Utility Belt and his vehicle, the Batmobile. For his own delight and the delight of his countless fans, Martin Rodriguez has created a realistic profile portrait of this vigilante hero, based on the release of the latest movie in 2021 starring Robert Pattinson. Using oil on canvas, the artist portrays Robert Pattinson as Batman on a timeless black background made it with a technique very similar used in “Action painting”. Using a range of colors between black and white, Batman is depicted in 3/4 profile. Underneath the black mask that covers most of his face and the bat ears, we can see the sober attitude and serious personality of the Gotham hero who rarely smiles throughout the chiaroscuro technique.
