Vicuña #2 – Preliminary Movie Sketch

This original drawing of “Vicuña” has been created by Argentine master artist Juan Giménez as prelimirary pencil drawing and conceptual base for following inks and colors. This artwork is a tiny treasure of Juan Gimenez work, considering this drawing is the base of the development of the full process of creation of the story.
Juan Antonio Giménez López was an Argentine comic book artist and writer, most recognized for his detailed machine-like imagery. He is recognized worldwide for works such as Estrella negra (1979), Question of Time(1982), Trash (1988), The Fourth Power (1989), Ciudad (1991) y Mertabarons (1992).
Its theme revolves around portentous imaginaries belonging to the fantasy genre and science fiction. He received awards such as the Yellow Kid for the best foreign cartoonist (1990) and the Bulle D’Or in France (1994). Since Juan Gimenez passed away this 2020, his studio and personal library was mantained as he left it.
After many considerations his family wish is to share all of his heritage with friends and collectors around the world.
