This original Donald Duck model sheet offers a fascinating glimpse into the art of character animation. Through a carefully composed series of facial expressions and head studies, Sergio Garrido explores the full emotional range of Disney’s famously temperamental duck, from curiosity and surprise to determination, frustration and pure joy. Every sketch demonstrates the subtle changes in shape and proportion that give the character such remarkable expressiveness.

Executed in pencil with confident, fluid linework, the drawing perfectly reflects the principles of traditional Disney draftsmanship, where clarity, rhythm and personality are essential to every pose. More than a collection of studies, the sheet celebrates the craftsmanship behind animation, revealing how a few carefully placed lines can transform emotion into movement.

As an artist whose original Disney production drawings have been selected and distributed by Corner4art, Garrido’s work represents an authentic connection to the legacy of traditional animation.
