This original artwork pays tribute to the unmistakable style of David Hockney, whose celebrated pool paintings have become symbols of modern art and the California lifestyle. Here, Tony Fernández reimagines Donald Duck in a minimalist architectural setting, seated at the edge of a crystalline swimming pool while a small floating rubber duck adds a humorous visual twist to the composition.

The clean lines, geometric architecture, and luminous palette faithfully evoke Hockney’s aesthetic, where sunlight, reflections, and stillness become essential elements of the scene. Donald’s unmistakable silhouette introduces a touch of irony and charm, transforming an iconic contemporary art reference into a delightful crossover between fine art and Disney animation. The composition invites viewers to appreciate both the serenity of the setting and the playful narrative hidden within its carefully balanced design.

Part of Tony Fernández’s acclaimed Inspired By collection, this exclusive original artwork showcases the artist’s remarkable ability to merge over three decades of Disney illustration experience with the visual language of art history. Elegant, humorous, and instantly recognizable, it is an ideal acquisition for collectors of Disney art, contemporary-inspired illustration, and original entertainment artwork.
