This original sketch by Z. Vendetta captures Mickey Mouse in the middle of an energetic jump, demonstrating the fluidity and expressive movement that define traditional character animation. Rather than presenting a finished illustration, the artwork focuses on the mechanics of motion, with overlapping construction lines and successive drawing adjustments revealing how the pose was refined to achieve balance, rhythm, and visual impact.

The composition is framed by a stylized architectural opening that naturally guides the viewer’s eye toward Mickey’s energetic pose. Graphite outlines are combined with red construction pencil, allowing every stage of the creative process to remain visible. The result is a lively and authentic animation study where spontaneity becomes part of the artwork’s artistic value.

Signed by the artist, this unique original piece offers collectors an intimate look at the development of one of Disney’s most iconic characters. A wonderful example of traditional animation draftsmanship that celebrates the timeless appeal of Mickey Mouse through the beauty of the sketch itself.
