This original sketch by Sergio Garrido presents a captivating preliminary design for a framed porcelain relief sculpture featuring Mickey Mouse, capturing the character’s unmistakable cheerful expression and timeless appeal. Framed within a simple rectangular composition, the artwork establishes the iconic proportions and facial features that would later be translated into the finished three-dimensional porcelain piece, preserving the charm that has made Mickey one of the world’s most beloved animation icons.

Executed entirely in blue animation pencil, the sketch preserves the authenticity of the creative process. Construction circles, center lines, and proportional guides remain visible beneath the refined contours, revealing the careful planning behind the final design. These working lines provide a fascinating insight into the artist’s creative method, documenting the evolution of the composition before it was sculpted in porcelain.

Signed by the artist, this unique original sketch offers collectors the rare opportunity to own the creative foundation of a finished porcelain relief sculpture. Both an engaging study of Disney’s most iconic character and an authentic piece of production art, it celebrates the craftsmanship and artistic process behind an exclusive hand-crafted artwork.
