This original gouache artwork by Joan Vizcarra brilliantly combines the timeless appeal of Disney with the epic mythology of Star Wars. Inspired by the legendary lightsaber confrontation between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, the illustration casts Mickey Mouse as the courageous Jedi while Pete takes on the imposing role of the Sith Lord, creating a playful yet instantly recognizable reinterpretation of one of cinema’s most memorable scenes.
The vibrant composition captures the intensity of the duel through expressive character acting, dynamic poses, and the striking contrast of the glowing lightsabers against a star-filled background. Vizcarra’s confident linework and rich gouache palette bring warmth, movement, and personality to the piece while preserving the essence of both franchises.
Signed by the artist, this original artwork is an exceptional collectible for Disney and Star Wars enthusiasts alike. Blending cinematic nostalgia, animation history, and contemporary illustration, it celebrates two of the most influential entertainment universes in a fresh, imaginative, and highly engaging way.
