This impressive original artwork by Manuel Sanjulian celebrates the visual universe of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back through a densely detailed, poster-inspired composition. At its center, portraits of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo are surrounded by C-3PO, R2-D2 and other familiar imagery, while Darth Vader anchors the lower section beneath the film’s title.
Above them, creatures, spacecraft, architecture and mountainous scenery create an expansive science-fiction panorama. The monochromatic execution emphasizes Sanjulian’s precise draftsmanship, balancing finely rendered details with the strong graphic structure associated with classic movie-poster illustration.
The subject has particular resonance within the artist’s career: Sanjulian collaborated on projects connected with The Empire Strikes Back, while George Lucas owns several of his original works. Signed by the artist and presented in a metallic-finish frame, this unique piece is especially appealing to collectors of Star Wars, cinematic illustration and original fantasy art.
